Charlotte & Cameron at The Rectory Hotel, Crudwell, Wiltshire

Weddings at The Rectory Hotel in Crudwell are always different but one theme runs through them all and that is the couple’s desire to gather their closest family and friends together to celebrate and to indulge them in beautiful surroundings, great food and attentive service. As a boutique Cotswolds wedding venue The Rectory are experts at providing their clients with a relaxed but always professional experience.

Cameron is a Kiwi and a lot of his family and friends had made the effort to travel over from New Zealand and Australia to be there for him on his wedding day. I know both Cameron and Charlotte were humbled and touched that so many wanted to be with them and they wanted to ensure that they enjoyed themselves.

I began with Charlotte and her bridesmaids at The Rectory for some bridal prep and also popped over to The Rectory’s sister pub The Potting Shed where Cameron and guests were enjoying the sunshine before the ceremony. As ever at the moment it was a case of how long the sun would stay out and Charlotte & Cameron struck lucky and were able to enjoy their reception drinks outside in the hotel’s lovely gardens. One of Cameron’s old friends was MC on the day and conducted events superbly. Cameron, like me when I got married, had two Best Men who both spoke fantastically well but not before Charlotte’s sisters dragged up all the embarrassing events of her youth.

After their first dance we managed to pop outside to take advantage of the beautiful evening light. It was so nice to see their guests wandering around enjoying The Rectory’s gardens.

Great set and I love that last shot Tom. Reminds me of an E. H. Shepard drawing!

  • Beautiful work, Tom. Really lovely wedding photography. And yes, that last shot is outstanding...
