When Sharon & Kathy asked me to photograph their Civil Partnership at The Rectory, Crudwell I was delighted because their intention from the outset was to have a relaxed celebration with their closest family and friends. The Rectory in Crudwell lends itself perfectly to this type of wedding with its laid back style and discreet but attentive service. Sharon & Kathy are avid travellers and there are few places they haven’t been and this theme played a large part in their wedding.
I started a bit differently for this wedding as Sharon & Kathy invited everyone to have lunch in the gardens at The Rectory before the service. It was great to see everyone enjoying the stunning gardens, relaxing, playing croquet and getting to know each other before the service. After a lovely and very personal service guests again enjoyed relaxing in the gardens (did I mention the sun shone ALL day!) before heading in to the dining room for the wedding breakfast.
It was a lovely, personal day and I felt honoured to be a part of it.
