Hi Tom.
I’m writing this blog whilst we are all locked down due to Coronavirus. It’s a troubling time for us all and it’s a weird time for me as a wedding photographer because there are no weddings. I really feel for my couples who were due to get married this summer (and possibly beyond) – the uncertainty and the need for many to have to postpone their weddings is super tough.
With all that is going on currently it hasn’t really felt right to be celebrating past weddings I have photographed but my mind has shifted on this in recent days. To a person all my 2021 couples have been lovely, asking how I am and how my business is faring – it has been amazing and I am so grateful to them all.
So I now feel that showcasing my recent weddings is OK and so I introduce to you the wonderful Lex & Josh. They had their Friars Court wedding last summer and it was a beauty. I have photographed loads of weddings at Friars Court but then I didn’t shoot one there for years – I guess that’s just how things go. So it was so good to be back there, to catch up with Jeffrey from the venue and with Paul & Sietske of Sadlers Catering. When I was shooting loads of weddings there these guys became solid friends so it was great to catch up with them and be part of the team for Lex & Josh’s wedding.
I met Lex and the girls at The Cotswold Plough in Clanfield before setting off for the ceremony in Faringdon. The reception was held in the beautiful gardens at Friars Court with food and dancing in the barn. Lex & Josh were a true pleasure to spend the day with – warm, funny, up for a laugh. Their day was pure joy from start to finish and they made me feel so welcome. It was such a great day with great people and I can’t wait to go back there soon.
